Stained glass panels usually need to be re-leaded every 100 years or sooner as the lead wears and breaks occur. The greatest cause of breakage or fracture is physical impact. Leaded glass in doors, sidelights, and low windows is particularly susceptible to breakage from accidents or vandalism.
At Stained Glass House we stock an extensive range in period glass and we pride ourselves with finding you a glass to match the original. The resizing of panels is also something we undertake. When repairing and restoring your leaded window we strive to have the window back in situ within a week.
